Greetings Hollow Bones Sangha,
Welcome to your new Mondo Zen website. It is a labor of love assembled with the extraordinary design work of Sumiyo Amano of Designtech Studio. This is definitely a work in progress, and we encourage you visit often. Please sign up as a member so you can participate in our Forum discussions and comment on our future blogs. You can also elect to receive our e-newsletter.
We are working on getting all of the pages up to date and uploading more photos, articles, and links to our partners. The on-line booking system is working, but if you have questions or prefer to register the old-fashion way, please contact us at retreats@mondozen.org
It is our intention that this website become a virtual sangha where we can gather to exchange ideas, insights, poetry and wisdom.
Please send your creative suggestions and feedback by filling out the Contact Us form.

BE
Breathe into that space between
your cells, your comings and goings.
Feel yourself slow down to a near
standstill, a place both dissimilar
and familiar—where a voice you know
so well calls you by a special
name known only to the One.
Waves calm and serene wash over you;
a baptismal pool of your own creation.
In these waters, there is no wrong, no
ill intent, nothing from which you must
repent.
Breathe, again deeper. Into the sacred stillness
you fall fearless assured of open arms to hold
you, rock you gently. Feeling safer, fully safer
than ever before.
Breathe into. Fall into.
Stay awhile
longer.
Breathe.
Breathe.
Breathe. Be…

ONCE LET GO
Hands unclenched have dropped
the featherweight heirs of deception.
What remains are golden nuggets
in a Tibetan monastery kiln.
A familiar smile returns as the sacred
laughter arises beyond the altar,
deeper still, the notes of silent songs
sing.
There is no gathering up here, only
a constant letting go of that which comes
next and- always another letting go...
Promises to self separate from owner,
a true path unfolds each step set in stone
before this time.
This moment sizzles electric as you taste
the sweetness of the Beloved's breath.
For a single instant you think you have
at last found IT, and then you realize it does
no exist separate. You gather together
all that is, avowing holy to remain in union,
to remember that once let go, everything
is in your grasp, to cherish, to love,
to simply give away as if it were never yours.
