Zenrin Jo Tai Jeff Goodman

Texas

September 2, 1953-April 22, 2012.
Blessings on your journey, Zenrin.

Zenrin Jo Tai Jeff Goodman took lay precepts in 2004 and Jukai in 2007. In December, 2010, he was ordained as a Hollow Bones Priest.

His initial exposure to Zen was in 1971 as a photography student under Jeffrey Weiss at Goddard College where the class textbooks were Zen Flesh, Zen Bones and Zen in the Art of Archery. He eventually became a teacher of Transcendental Meditation, but after twenty five years, he abandoned this practice, disillusioned. After completing the New Warrior Training adventure in 2003, Zenrin wanted to find a Buddhist practice that would integrate an underlying philosophical understanding, integrating emotional development, living in integrity and practices which would truly enable one to "wake up"; it was then that Zenrin encountered Jun Po and Hollow Bones

He lived and worked in Houston as a professional search consultant. He taught Zen meditation and facilitated the Mondo Zen protocol through the Pralaya yoga studio where he was also in training as a Yoga teacher. He actively practiced the Koan of his Dharma name which means Awareness Forest of Great Forgiveness.
