Friends of Zen is a non-profit organization. We depend on contributions from our sangha in order to fulfill our mission and spread the dharma. In addition to individual contributions, we have been fortunate to receive grant funding from The Frederick Lenz Foundation for American Buddhism to expand our work.

This year we have provided over thirty full or partial scholarships to individuals who were unable to afford the $600 sesshin fee. We aim to uphold our policy of never turning a student away due to lack of funds. Your generous contribution allows us to provide these scholoraships and continue with several projects that are underway, such as the production of a Mondo Zen DVD and the biography of Jun Po Denis Kelly.
